By entering this competition, you agree (or, if you are under 18, your parent/guardian agrees) to these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions, which may be advertised. This competition is being promoted by Exit Entry with its registered office at 45 The Rise, Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin, A94P2R7, Ireland. This competition is open to all post-primary school students with an Exit Entry account in Ireland. Completing one activity within an IBM badge will gain you entry to this competition.
This competition is open to students of Post Primary Schools in the Republic of Ireland only.
There will be 8 Student winners and 8 Guidance Counsellors winners selected.
Prize #1 - €500 voucher (1 for winning student and 1 for their Guidance Counsellor).
Prize #2 - €250 voucher (2 students will win a voucher each and also one for their respective Guidance Counsellors).
Prize #3 - € 100 voucher (5 students will win a voucher each and also one for their respective Guidance Counsellors).
All winners will be invited to an IBM campus tour on April 25th 2023 where they will be presented with certificates from Exit Entry and IBM.
To enter the competition, students must:
Download the Exit Entry app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
Create your account with your school email, pick your School and the current year that you are in and complete the Interests and Skills assessments.
Once you have completed your profile, navigate to the 'Discover' section of the app where you will access the IBM SkillsBuild Badges.
Complete one activity within one of the IBM Badges before the competition ends. Upon completion, Exit Entry will enter you into the overall competition, where you could win 1 of the 3 amazing prizes.
All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. The competition launches on 4th November 2022 and the closing date for entries is midnight on February 17th 2023. This time & date is final. Any entries received after midnight on this date will not progress to the judging stage. Badges and activities that are incomplete will be void. The promoters do not accept any responsibility for any entry that is late, lost, delayed, destroyed, corrupted or not received due to technical disruption, network congestion or for any other reason. The information that entrants provide will only be used for the purposes of this competition and will not be shared with any third party save to the extent required for the purposes of running the competition and/or facilitating the award and delivery of prizes. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable and there is no cash alternative for any prizes. The promoters reserve the right to alter or substitute any element of the prizes with prizes of similar value if circumstances beyond their control so require. Neither the promoter nor IBM will be responsible for any inability of a winner to take up the specified prizes. The competition winners will be announced in February 2023 (or on such other date(s) as the promoter determines in its discretion). All winners’ names will be posted on Exit Entry’s social media accounts by that date. The winner(s) will be notified by phone/email after the competition closing date. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 30 days of notification (or such other period as the promoter determines), the Judging Panel reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select an alternative winner.
If you are selected as a winner, you agree to: provide proof of your age (and if you are under 18, with the written consent of your parent or legal guardian); provide Exit Entry and IBM with a photo of you with your prize (the “Prize Photo”);
All entrants to the competition are deemed to have given: consent to the disclosure of their name and details as a winner; permission to publish their details, their Image with their Prize on IBM’s and Exit Entry’s social media accounts, websites, press releases, other media outlets and other marketing collateral; and inclusion of winners’ names and these other competition details in external publicity material, (collectively, the “Promotional Activity”).
All entrants (and, where entrants are under 18, their parents/guardians) are deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions allowing for such use. The copyright, intellectual property rights, image rights and any other rights vesting in any competition footage, posts and photographs (whether depicting the winners or not) shall remain the property of IBM and Exit Entry (as applicable), who reserve all usage rights thereto. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Exit Entry and IBM exclude all liability whatsoever to entrants and to winners in relation to the competition and the prizes to be awarded. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. Events may occur that render it impossible for the competition to proceed for reasons beyond the control of the promoter. The entrants (and, where applicable, their parents/guardians) agree that no liability shall attach to the promoter or IBM as a result. Your personal information will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering this competition and, where applicable, the awarding and redemption of prizes. It will be held by Exit Entry. Exit Entry will delete personal data collected by it solely for the purposes of the running of the competition within 30 days of the completion of the competition activities (including the Promotional Activities) (save to the extent required to facilitate delivery of prizes).
