Competition Overview
Due to the success of our previous competitions in 2021 and 2022, Exit Entry and IBM have launched a SkillsBuild Challenge for students of post primary schools in Ireland, which will take place from November 2022 until March 2023.
The aim of the SkillsBuild Challenge is to promote self-directed learning through the use of technology. This will be achieved through the completion of selected IBM SkillsBuild Badges and activities. We want to introduce Post Primary students to various emerging industries and present to them the potential third level and career opportunities available.
By registering on the Exit Entry app and completing one activity, students will be granted one entry into the competition.
The IBM SkillsBuild Badges and activities can be completed through the Exit Entry App, in class or independently at home by the student.
The Prizes
There are €3,000 worth of One4all vouchers up for grabs.
Prize voucher breakdown: 8 students and 8 guidance counsellors
- 1st Prize - €500 voucher (1 for winning student and 1 for their Guidance counsellor).
- 2nd Prize - €250 voucher (2 students will win a voucher each and also one for their respective Guidance counsellors).
- 3rd Prize - € 100 voucher (5 students will win a voucher each and also one for their respective Guidance counsellors).
*All winners will be invited to the IBM campus on April 25th 2023 where they will be presented with certificates from Exit Entry and IBM.
Each prize winner will also have the option to choose a charity to which IBM and Exit Entry will donate the matching amount of their award.
How to Enter
Step 1
Download the Exit Entry app from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
Step 2
Create your account with your school email, pick your School and the current year that you are in and complete the Interests and Skills assessments.
Step 3
Once you have completed your profile, navigate to the 'Discover' section of the app where you will access the IBM SkillsBuild Badges.
Step 4
Complete any one activity within one of the IBM badges before the competition ends. Upon completion,Exit Entry will enter you into the overall competition, where you could win 1 of the 3 amazing prizes.

When is the Closing Date?
The Closing Date for the Exit Entry x IBM SkillsBuild Competition is March 6th 2023.
I missed the deadline, can I still enter?
Entries after the closing date will not be added into the draw.
When will the winners be announced?
Winners in each of the 3 prizes will be announced by March.
